Development Story

I usually use casual backpacks from outdoor brands, but among the various business backpacks on the market in recent years, there are very few that are casual and stylish enough for me to use for commuting, and I've felt that something is missing.

The Hexa-Pack project was started in search of these things!

The Hexa-Pack was created by a combination of myself, who has been involved in bag planning for famous outdoor brands for about 20 years, and a seasoned designer who has worked on designs for well-known fashion brands for many years, and who knows the world.

The design is a well-balanced hexagonal shape that has never been seen before, and the moment I saw the design drawing, it reminded me of the hexagonal climbing gear, so I decided to make a simple, high-performance backpack that would resonate with backpack enthusiasts and make use of this hexagonal shape, which I myself would be happy with. This is the true essence of an outdoor manufacturer, "making things as tools."

We hope that backpack enthusiasts will enjoy this product, which not only offers the WINGSACK smartphone storage function but also focuses on ergonomic design, materials, and form.

X-PAC® is a special material developed by DIMENSION-POLYANT, a US company that boasts the world's largest market share in sailcloth (sails for yachts). It is made of a three-layer structure that combines three types of materials - outer fabric, X-PLY (fiber), and lining - using a special method, and is an excellent material that combines strength, lightness, and waterproofness.

High-strength polyester is twisted to create a strong cord, which is then braided in an X shape to create "X-PLY," which is stretched bias-wise under the outer fabric, preventing diagonal stretch, a weakness of woven fabrics. The bottom layer is made of water-repellent polyester fabric, which is pressed to seal the weave of the outer fabric, repelling rain and other water.
